Native American Story

Come little warrior and let me tell you a story about how the spirits created our tribe and how we remain we remain strong. Now long ago, there was a great spirit named Konto. Konto had the power to create life and to destroy it if he wanted to. Konto wanted to make a tribe that was the strongest of all the other tribes, he also wanted to provide the tribe with food that made their bones and muscles very strong. So Konto went ahead and created the buffalo because this animal was big and provided a lot of food for our tribe. He also created eagles to watch over us and to protect us from bad spirits throughout our lives. Konto then went on to create water for our survival and plants for our air to breathe. That's why we shouldn't cut down any trees because they are magical and give us air to breathe. But one day, Konto had an enemy to face who was a very bad spirit names Tailset and he wanted to wipe out everything Konto had created.So to this very day, they are still battling each other that's why you see storms, and other natural disasters. So in order to stop this fighting, you must be very good to your neighbors and especially your elders because not doing that would provoke the evil spirit to try to wipe out us and our neighboring brothers.
